Who and/or what do you manage?
I manage and direct the Whim Services Team to achieve their goals and work to grow our portfolio of clients.
Most challenging part of your job?
Our clients absolutely loves us, and we love them too. I wish we could spend all our hours and days giving them praise for everything they do for the tourism/hospitality industry here in Austin and surrounding areas. They are the true heroes that keep our communities and cities funded. They work endless hours to ensure their clients have a flawless experience all with big smiles on their faces. There just isn’t enough time in the world to express how thankful we are to them.
What is the most exciting and fulfilling part of your job?
Watching the team grow and blossom alongside our clients while they execute a vision of an event that has been in the works for many months and sometimes years.
What initially attracted you to the job you’re doing and why?
The team. They are the most caring and dedicated team in the industry. I get to come in everyday and support the best team to do what they do best. They really do make it fun!
What’s your favorite thing about Whim Hospitality?
Again, it’s the team and the people. Plus, we have Sperry tents 😊
What is one fun fact about you?
I am an avid knitter and a stained-glass artist. I truly believe in the impact that spending time in nature can have on your life, so I am also a gardener in my free time. These activities continue to inspire me daily and keep my mind calm. We work in events, which can be extremely fast paced. These activities give me the quiet space I need in order to recharge.
