Director of Operations
A native of Minnesota, Deb has lived in Central Texas since relocating in 1995. She got her start in the Hospitality Industry by working at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis while she was a student at the University of Minnesota. Hospitality proved to be so rewarding that Deb transferred to the Hyatt in Austin, which began a career path in sales management. Eventually, Deb became a Sales Manager at various Austin hotels such as the Four Seasons and Barton Creek Resort & Spa.
Just before joining Whim, Deb served for more than a decade at Cvent, a global meeting, event, and travel technology solutions provider, overseeing Operations and Logistics.
Deb and her husband, John, have two amazingly above-average children, Addie and Jack. The family also has a rescued American Bulldog named Slick. In her free time, Deb is an avid reader (preferring fiction) and is a fan of live comedy, theatre, and music. She was also an extra in the Prince movie, “Sign O’ The Times.”
The thing that brings Deb the most #WhimJoy is seeing how each day is unique and the sense of teamwork she sees as her Operations team is constantly solving problems on the client’s behalf.
