Whim Hospitality has been honored as the winner of ILEA Texas' Best Catered Event 2017 with an ultimate food fusion wedding held at Camp Lucy, the company's managed property. The best catered event category honors culinary excellence in catering: either on or off‐premise. Eligible entrants include caterers, specialty bakeries, restaurants, facility operators, hotels, or any other entity that provides food and beverage to an event.
Nestled in the heart of the hill country, Paige and Ziri feasted their eyes on a beautiful ranch style boutique resort for their wedding weekend that they could not resist. As in-house caterers for weddings and events, Whim Hospitality was thrilled with the opportunity to work with this fun “foodie” couple. With the menu being the top priority, Paige and Ziri had high expectations for Chef Rob and his culinary team to make their culinary dreams come true. They had chosen to have both their rehearsal dinner and wedding at Camp Lucy so the team was tasked with crafting a menu that would be reflective of the couple while also having enough variety to keep all the guests talking about the food the entire weekend. In all, Whim served 89 of the couple's closest family and friends for a family style rehearsal dinner and late night cocktail party on Friday. Saturday’s wedding reception featured cocktail style service with interactive stations for 266.
